Rangers had a very comfortable day at the office on Saturday as they cruised to a 3-1 victory over Hearts.

One of the standout performers for the Gers in that match was none other than Daniel Candeias.

Yet the 31-year-old effectively had many Rangers fans pulling their hair out on Twitter while watching him, with one even ready to bid farewell.

Given that Candeias was a game changing player for Steven Gerrard’s side on Saturday, the fact that a large number of Gers fans were calling for his head likely left some miffed.

Though it’s perfectly understandable where their fury was coming from.

Canedias racked up two assists against Hearts as he showed his ability to pick out a pass to perfection in order to make it easy for his teammates to score.

However in the same game, the 31-year-old managed to carelessly give the ball away numerous times, which made you question whether he knew what side he was playing for.

This Jekyll & Hyde like transformation of his form in a single 90 minutes on Saturday actually sums up Candeias season very well.

When the 31-year-old is at his best, he is the game changer the Gers need to call upon however when he is not at the races then he is a liability that aids their opponents.

When you consider that Candeias clearly has the skill set to thrive at Ibrox and be an asset, Gerrard must find a way to fix his form as with him regularly delivering the goods, it could move the club closer to racking up silverware.
