Jamie Redknapp has slammed West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic, suggesting that his lack of form has disrupted the side.
The Austrian has dropped in and out of the Hammers team since his Chinese transfer debacle back in January, and Redknapp believes that he has stopped putting in his full efforts.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “Arnautovic has gone off the boil.
“Earlier in the season he was playing well, but he just seems to have taken his foot off the gas and it’s obviously disrupted the team.”

Redknapp is seemingly on the money with this one. How could a player of Arnautovic’s quality go so profoundly off a cliff if it wasn’t a case of him just mentally downing tools? The whole saga surrounding his transfer debacle has been one of the strangest of the season, and it has lurched between him going to staying several times. When he put pen to paper on a new deal at the end of January, that really should have been end of the matter, but the fact that he has failed to perform for such a long period since that deal was completed would suggest that he did it purely to save face. Does that mean he will still look to move away in the summer? Potentially so. If that were to happen, he would quickly become the most hated man in East London, but there is still a chance to prove that he does want to be at the club. If he can pick up his form between now and the end of the season, Arnie could still turn this one round.
