COMMENTARY
Several Wolves fans took to social media on Saturday to slam Morgan Gibbs-White for his performance against Brighton. Wolves’ drew 0-0 with the struggling Seagulls and it was a frustrating day for the side. However while several players were not on song, some opted to focus on Gibbs-White’s display. One claimed the 19-year-old was simply not good enough, which was extremely harsh, while another showed his displeasure by requesting the teen be subbed. It’s unclear why a section of Wolves supporters were unimpressed by Gibbs-White as he did seem to have a good outing. There were times when he lost the ball carelessly but aside from that he was always trying to push forward and force the issue for his side, which was more than some of his teammates. One Wolves fan may be right to sort of knock Gibbs-White while defending him a little, as they said the 19-year-old didn’t look great, but at least he was trying. Given that it was a frustrating day for Wolves, maybe supporters set their standards too high for Gibbs-White.

@MikeyBurrows The first half sums up what the problem we have had against the lower teams. We do not carry a threat other than the front two. Traore for MGW please.

Zzzzzz Brighton are a disgrace to the Premier League. Saying that our tempo is waaaay too slow. Jonny never goes forward and slows the game down. Vinagre needs to play. MGW just aint good enough #WOLBHA #WWFC #wolvesaywe #WOL #wolvesaywe
