OPINION
Wolves have been linked with a move for Croatian World Cup star Domagoj Vida and fans are cautiously excited.
The 29-year-old centre-back is under contract with Besiktas until 2022 but has a number of clubs after him, according to Sporx, including Inter Milan and Roma.
Wolves have been added to the list now too and the midlands side are said to have made an enquiry for the defender who is rated at £13million.
That’s a reduction in price for the defender who impressed in Russia with his country. It had previously been reported that Wolves had a bid of £16million turned down for him last summer.
Wolves fans seem happy about landing him at Molineux, but others are sceptical that it will happen – noting that the Turkish media isn’t the most reliable when it comes to transfer stories.
That being said, Vida has been linked with a move to the Premier League on a number of occasions and this could be the perfect time for Besiktas to cash in.
As for Wolves, with European football a possibility next season, they could do with extra depth in defence.
Here are the best reactions to the Vida links:
Love him at Molineux.
