West Ham should act fast in the race to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay as it’s unlikely Wolves will hesitant to snap him up.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato the Hammers and Wolves are both in pursuit of the 25-year-old playmaker and given how talented he is, it’s a battle Manuel Pellegrini’s side need to win.

Demirbay could be a creative force for either Wolves or the Hammers shown by the fact he has been involved in getting Hoffenheim 13 goals this season in his 29 outings.

The 25-year-old has scored four, while assisting nine, and given that the Hammers could do with adding more goals to their midfield ahead of next season, it’s easy to see how important a player he could be if recruited.

Yet with Calciomercato’s report suggesting that Wolves or West Ham are yet to make a move, the London club need to get an advantage over their Premier League rivals to beat them to his signature.

Wolves have made a splash in their first season back in the Premier League in the current campaign and are going to be an appealing prospect for any player to join as a result.

While the Hammers can be equally as appealing, it’s hard to know who Demirbay will lean towards and that’s why it’s important to act quickly.

Also Wolves showed in the summer when they spent £59million (Source: Sky Sports) that they weren’t ones to move slowly in the transfer window and given how successful acting quickly resulted in them being, they’ll probably act fast yet again.

This means Wolves won’t hesitant to grab the talented playmaker so neither should the London club.
