Jim White has swooned over Tottenham forward Son Heung-min and said that he loves the South Korean.
Son has been in top form for Spurs this campaign, scoring 20 goals in all competitions, including 11 in 11 games when Harry Kane has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
And White was blown away by that stat.
Speaking in talkSPORT (April 26th, 11.50am), commenting on Son’s prolific form, he said: “Quite astounding.
“What a gent as well. Lovely, the way he handles himself on and off the pitch.
“I love the guy.”

Son has that Midas touch at the moment, where everything he comes into contact with seems to turn to gold. He is fine form in front of goal, but is also inspiring Spurs all over the pitch, and it makes sense that he would get such a rousing endorsement from White. The South Korean is direct, clinical, and seemingly tireless, but as White rightly points he is also the perfect gentleman. It is sometimes easy to forget that football is, when all is said and done, just a game, but Son plays with the kind of childlike joy that reminds you why we as fans love the sport in the first place. He has this grin constantly plastered across his face that is purely infectious, and to see the way he wheels away in delight after scoring a goal, you can’t help but join him in smiling. This season has been a real breakout year for a player who was already top class, and long may his purple patch continue.
