Everton winger Richarlison has been discussed behind-closed-doors at Premier League rivals Manchester United as the Red Devils plot a potential summer transfer raid, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Old Trafford outfit have talked about the potential of signing the Brazilian just a year after his move to Goodison Park, having seen him score 14 goals for the Toffees.

It is stated that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on snapping up a versatile attacker in as many as five new arrivals and having watched Richarlison play as both a winger and a centre forward this season, the Premier League giants have identified him as someone who ticks the boxes for next season.

Opinion

If Manchester United do come calling for Everton’s Brazilian maestro this summer it will be a real test of the Toffees’ ambitions as to whether they let him leave or keep a hold of him. We have already seen the Merseyside outfit forced to give in to the financial power of the Red Devils when they snapped up Romelu Lukaku and the Goodison Park faithful will be hoping that lightning does not strike twice with their new favourite. Unfortunately, that is the case when a player outside the top six shows signs of being something special and you can be sure that Richarlison will not be the only Premier League player being sniffed around by those at the top over the summer. A big money deal might convince Everton to part ways but they are not as desperate for cash as they have been in the past and so it would take a massive cheque to convince them to sell up.
