Danny Murphy heaped lots of praise on Everton attacker Richarlison and revealed he loved watching the Brazilian play.

The former Liverpool player shared that he appreciated that the 21-year-old Toffees star clearly had a hunger to do well as when he was struggling in games, he made sure to put himself about.

Murphy also pointed out that he thought others tended to forget how young Richarlison still is and highlighted that the Toffees attacker was still learning his craft.

“I think what people forget about Richarlison is his age,” said Murphy on talkSPORT (12:37, Monday April 22nd).

“He is still very very young so his performances are going to be inconsistent and really is his a winger coming off those wide areas or a No.10 or a No.9, I think it doesn’t matter right now cause he is so young and learning the game.

“But what he has got, I love when I watch him play as he has got that appetite that hunger about him, even when he is not playing well, he puts it about.

“I think he is a really terrific player.”

OPINION

Murphy seems to be in awe of how good Richarlison is currently and how good he could potentially be. The pundit seems to believe that the Toffees player has the right attitude in games and that is a very promising sign. Richarlison is clearly a very skilful player but to fulfil his full potential, he needs to have the right attitude. While there have been games this season where he seems to have given up, more often than not he does give 100% for the Toffees in order to achieve positive results. Hopefully the 21-year-old is able to continue excelling at Goodison Park for many seasons to come as you feel he could be the type of player that helps Marco Silva take the club forward. However the only issue is that as Richarlison continues to excel other teams will likely start ringing the Toffees in order to try and get his services for themselves.
