The signing of Porto Striker Moussa Marega would fire Everton back into Europe next season.

The Toffees have enjoyed a great improvement towards the end of the Premier League season under Marco Silva.

There are many areas where they have strengthened in the past couple of years, but they have not improved in the final third. They have consistently relied on the young academy product Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison, Cenk Tosun falling some way off the grade required.

Only Romelu Lukaku has scored over 20 goals for the Toffees since the turn of the century and the signing of a prolific frontman would propel an Everton squad brimming with quality into a top seven side in the Premier League.

According to reports by CM in Portugal, Porto striker Moussa Marega has a dream of playing in England and it is stated that both Everton and West Ham have the striker on their radar, failing to sign the Mali international in January.

Marega would be a great signing for Everton and could replicate Lukaku’s achievements in the league with his similar style.

The Porto talisman is enjoying one of his most fruitful seasons in front of goal and has scored 19 goals so far. Goals is not all the target man brings, he has also registered 11 assists and shows his importance as a number nine consistently.

He doesn’t only just do it in the league and has shown his talent at an elite level, pushing his side to a Champions League quarter-finals against Liverpool.

Marco Silva must make Marega his number one target and this signature will be the difference between a mid table finish and taking Everton back to European qualification.
