COMMENTARY
Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye had Toffees supporters singing his praises even though his side frustratingly drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Toffees destroyed Manchester United last weekend and just couldn’t build on that positive result. However one player who didn’t let his side down, was Gueye as he did all he possibly could to get Marco Silva another three points on the board. The 29-year-old midfielder kept playing the right passes forward while winning the midfield battle, but his teammates didn’t make the most of it. You feel if everyone had played at the same level as Gueye did on Saturday, then Palace would have crumbled. This is especially the case when you consider Gueye made short work of marking Wilfried Zaha out of the match. The Palace attacker is used to having everything go his way, but against Gueye he was having no luck.
