COMMENTARY
Arsenal attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 with a lot of hype surrounding him, but it seems several Gunners fans were regretting him ever being signed on Thursday. The 29-year-old forward missed several chances in the 1-0 win against Napoli to put the game beyond doubt and this left fans moaning about him. In fact one Gunners supporter wasn’t content with just regretting him being signed but shared they wanted him sold in the summer. The fact that the supporter then shared they didn’t want anyone to reply to them over this opinion shared how debatable it was. While Aubameyang wasn’t in clinical form against Napoli, it was so odd to see a number of Gunners fan tear him apart in the way that they did. The forward has scored 23 goals this season and if an attacker gets above 20 goals in a single season then surely he should be considered an asset not a problem.

Aubameyang misses too many big chances. What's happened to him? 20 big chances missed in the league. Ranks 4th for most big chances missed in Europe's top 5 leagues. Alarming ?

Really fearing the Aubameyang syndrome may well be similar to the latter part Ibrahimovic’s career. Was rubbish and incredibly wasteful with chances but somehow got a decent goal tally and fans going “oooh aaahh he’s brilliant” and all that.
