OPINION
Although Liverpool cruised to a 5-0 win against Huddersfield, some fans were less than pleased with Daniel Sturridge, who had next to no impact as a striker even though it was such a routine victory for the Merseyside club. It seems more and more likely that Sturridge will be on his way out of Anfield in the summer transfer window as the England international’s deal with the Reds expires at the end of the season. If his performance against relegated Huddersfield on Friday night was to go by, then this is a player who already knows that his time as a Liverpool player is all but up. It is understandable to see so many fans annihilating Sturridge on Twitter because he wasn’t good enough. It is a shame to see him play so poorly because just a few years ago, the striker was one of the best in England. Hopefully he can get a good move in the summer and remain fit enough to get back to his best.

Need to get rid of Sturridge in summer. He’s so slow now. Doesn’t offer anything
