OPINION
It all should have been so easy for Leeds this season. They started at a canter, spent the best part of the campaign coasting along with the best manager in the league at the helm, and looked dead certs for promotion. After a couple of minor stumbles, however, they appear to have fully face planted following their disastrous Easter weekend. Three points ahead of Sheffield United going into the Bank Holiday, they ended it three points behind the Blades after shock defeats to Wigan Athletic and Brentford. All of that has put their promotion chances in serious jeopardy, but a far worse fate could still beset United if they fail to reach the Premier League. Marcelo Bielsa’s future is increasingly being called into question if another year in the Championship is ensured, and the Argentine’s latest comments are hardly filling fans with confidence. Speaking at his press conference on Friday, when asked about his future as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay, he said: “It’s not up to me and I don’t have any response to that. It’s not a decision that we have to take now and it’s not the right time to give my opinion.” While some fans are taking his vagueness as a good sign, others are less optimistic, and it’s fair to say that there will be a whole load of panic if the doubt rumbles on much longer.

If we don’t go up I think he’ll definitely be away. As much as it saddens me #lufc
