OPINION
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay has revealed that Stuart Dallas will start at left-back for Leeds United when they take on Aston Villa on Sunday, and for some reason, that has left some fans on Twitter furious. Ezgjan Alioski and Barry Douglas are out for the rest of the season while Leif Davis is also injured, so Marcelo Bielsa has basically no other option to play at left-back other than Dallas. The Northern Ireland international, who has only started eight Championship games this term, did a decent job in that position on Monday when he replaced Alioski in the 2-0 defeat at Brentford, so why are so many Leeds fans not happy with the fact that the fringe player will start against Aston Villa? Obviously it’s not ideal but does Bielsa have any other option when so many of his players are injured? Hopefully Dallas can prove these doubters wrong and put in a solid shift against Villa. Dallas seems to be in a no-win situation every time he plays for Leeds at the moment. Supporters just need to give the guy a break and get behind him.
