COMMENTARY
To say that Izzy Brown’s loan spell at Leeds United has not gone to plan would be an understatement and it appears as though things are not getting better any time soon after his outing for the under-23 side on Monday (15/04). The Chelsea loanee was given 45 minutes against Crystal Palace and had a hit and miss half versus the Eagles. He was a creative presence who caused the opposition trouble on occasion but there was a lack of cutting edge, most notably when he found himself in a great position but twisted and turned his way into trouble rather than taking the shot. A lack of confidence after his long time absence perhaps. His mindset could not have been helped by an injury worry halfway through the first half, when he required the physio’s attention and was left hobbling back onto the pitch. It was not the sort of performance that the Leeds faithful wanted to see – as made clear by their responses on Twitter – and a stint in the first team looks a long way off right now.

If Izzy Brown can continue to avoid taking a shot like that he'll be in the first team in no time

Izzy Brown was hopeing would become a key player for our first team at some point this season hasn't happened…a player that was highly rated as a future player with Chelsea do you think he could come good yet and stay at Leeds?

Thought he could've saved their 2nd but was very good except distribution at times. It was a fair result, you'd expect Brown to bury that though.
