COMMENTARY
Many Celtic fans were left unimpressed by defender Jeremy Toljan’s performance in the 1-0 win over Dundee, and ripped him apart on social media as a result. One claimed it was like playing with 10 men due to the 24-year-old being on the pitch, while another dubbed his display horrendous. It’s easy to see why lots of Hoops didn’t hold back with their verdict on Toljan as he did struggle against Dundee and he has been woeful in recent weeks. When he first joined the club on loan, the right-back looked the real deal in his first couple of appearances but since then he has been a liability. Toljan regularly makes life difficult for himself when defending as he gets caught out of position and his crosses have been nothing short of woeful. It’s actually a rare sight to see the defender play in a successful cross as more than not he over hits them and the ball rolls out of play.
