Wolves may already have one of the best midfielders in the Premier League in the shape of Ruben Neves, but there is no reason why they cannot strengthen themselves further with a summer swoop.

Step forward Huddersfield Town midfielder Phillip Billing, who starred in the Terriers’ 1-0 win over Wolves in midweek and is a player that they must definitely should sign.

Steve Bull has drooled over the 22-year-old in his column for the Express and Star, and has urged his old club to sign him after seeing him excel in what was a momentous win for the league strugglers.

“Billing, especially, would bring something a bit different to the table. Standing at 6ft 5in, the young Dane is an imposing presence with the technical prowess to boot,” he said.

“Billing has twice been able to nullify the threat of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, allowing those in front of him to express themselves more while also playing a huge part in proceedings himself.”

Wolves would be very wise to heed the advice of Bull, especially as he has highlighted how Billing has been able to handle the threat that Neves and Moutinho pose in both clashes this season.

Huddersfield look like one of the clubs most likely for the drop this season, and that is something that Wolves must take advantage of – after all, Billing is going to be hugely tempted by the prospect of not playing in the Championship, isn’t he?

There is no way that he would want to drop down a league, and for a player as talented as he is, the Premier League is where he deserves to remain.

It is clear that he has the quality and the attributes to survive in the top-flight, and seeing as he on £15,000-a-week [Spotrac] at Huddersfield, Wolves will have no problem in matching his wages and the transfer fee he could warrant in the summer.

Many Wolves fans would erupt if the club made a move for the midfield dazzler, so over to you Nuno.
