COMMENTARY
Back in the side and back among the goals – that was how Chris Brunt’s Wednesday night turned out for West Brom against Swansea City in their comfortable win. Having not been seen by the fans since early February, a return to the bench against Ipswich the closest he had come, it was the perfect way to reintroduce himself, firstly netting with a somewhat fortuitous cross which nestled into the goal before setting up his side’s second with a great cross from a corner. Pace and mobility might be deserting him at the age of 34 but there is absolutely no doubting his ability when it comes to working some magic on a football. He caused the Swans all sorts of problems from out wide and while he might never burn past a defender on the wing again, a little bit of space and his left foot can create something from absolutely nothing. As the fans on Twitter say, he might not start every week but when he does he can be a top performer for the club, using his vast amounts of experience to help bring the best out of the other nine outfield players on the pitch. This was Brunt showing some of his best form – not bad for a man who has been exiled of late.
This is FutbolĀ has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:

He gets dogs abuse and I'm not advocating him starting every game BUT… Brunt's passing abilities are miles and miles ahead of the rest of our team. Incredible vision at times. #WBA

Chris Brunt has been sensational, Livermore looks twice as mobile and Johnstone had made some absolutely vital saves. A solid performance #wba #westbrom #wbafc #wbaswa #swans #scfc
