Tottenham are one of four clubs monitoring young Denmark international Robert Skov, according to Sky Sports, and fans should be delighted that the prolific 22-year-old is a potential summer target.

The winger, who made Denmark’s provisional World Cup squad and trained with Christian Eriksen, is on fire this season. He’s scored 22 goals in just 24 league games for Copenhagen, playing from the wing, and Tottenham see him as someone who can play behind Harry Kane and provide back-up goals.

He signed for Copenhagen for £900k just over a year ago and would be available for the sort of fee that makes Daniel Levy happy. On paper he looks like the perfect Spurs player – on the verge of a major breakthrough and young enough to be moulded into an attacking player that will fit in with the Tottenham system.

He’s already made his full debut for Denmark and looks set to win more caps. His goals have put him on the radar of Tottenham and other clubs – Watford, Wolves and West Ham are also in the hunt for the 22-year-old. Tottenham is the team that’s desperate for new blood though and Levy should ensure he’s front of the queue for the attacker in the summer.

If Tottenham can even get half of the goals out of him per season that he’s delivering for Copenhagen, he could turn out to be the bargain of the summer.
