Tottenham fans slam Aurier in first-half v Dortmund

OPINION

Serge Aurier had a shocker in that first-half against Borussia Dortmund, so it is no shock to see many Tottenham fans tearing the right-back to shreds at half-time. The Ivory Coast international was poor on the ball, did next to nothing off the ball and his foul throw just summed up what was a terrible 45 minutes for the ex-Paris Saint-Germain ace. Aurier was so good for Spurs in the first-leg as well. He was a constant menace for Dortmund at Wembley, so hopefully like in the first-leg, he will improve vastly after the break. Mauricio Pochettino has a real issue at right-back that he needs to deal with in the summer. Kieran Trippier has been poor despite a stunning World Cup with England last summer and Aurier is yet to put together a string of good performances since replacing Kyle Walker in North London. Daniel Levy may need to splash the cash on an upgrade in the summer, but it seems unlikely.
