OPINION
It was not the best performance by Davinson Sanchez in a Tottenham shirt on Tuesday night, but the defender played his part in helping his side beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 and progress to the Champions League quarter-finals in Germany. Sanchez was widely criticised by some Tottenham fans in the second leg fixture, and some of the comments made about him are a bit harsh. Sanchez does not seem to like playing in a back-three as much as he does in a flat back-four and it was clear in the opening 30 minutes or so against Dortmund that he was struggling. Luckily Jan Vertonghen was playing very well alongside him and Hugo Lloris made a string of stunning saves to keep the Germans at bay. Sanchez was a bit shaky bit his display was not as worrying as some fans are making out. The former Ajax defender is still only 22-years-old. He will improve leaps and bounds if he keeps on playing.
