Scotland’s Euro 2020 campaign didn’t get off to the best start in Kazakhstan this afternoon. In a game they would have been looking to win, they were 2-0 down after just 10 minutes on the artificial pitch. Celtic men James Forrest and and Oli Burke were the two men who Scotland hoped could drag them back into but fans were not impressed with what they saw from Burke. He’s fast – there’s no doubt about that. But he really struggles with any sort of end product and this was in evidence when he went broke into the box, past two Kazakhstan players, before losing his feet. On loan from West Brom until the end of the season, Burke has scored four goals in nine league games for Celtic this season, but he rarely troubled the defence this afternoon. And fans from various clubs took to Twitter to berate him. Scotland went on to lose the game 3-0 in a disastrous start to their campaign.
