Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a £20million bid to sign Everton attacker Henry Onyekuru, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray, according to TeamTalk.

The news outlet claims that Monaco, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Sevilla are also interested in signing the 21-year-old.

Onyekuru is yet to play a game for Everton since joining from KAS Eupen in 2017 due to work permit issues, but has spent the last two seasons out on loan with Anderlecht and Galatasaray.

It is understood that his rising status as a Nigeria international and his form in Turkey could mean that he will be able to obtain a UK work permit next season.

Good move for Everton?

Everton need to bite PSG’s arm off if they offer up £20million for Onyekuru.

Although he is playing well in Turkey – TeamTalk claims Marco Silva has received glowing reports from scouts – £20million is almost triple the £7million fee the Toffees paid to sign him from Eupen.

His value has skyrocketed without kicking a ball for the club, and there is every chance that the Nigeria international will not be as impressive in the Premier League as he has been in Turkey and Belgium.

If PSG offer £20million, or anywhere near it, Silva should accept and use that money to sign a new striker for his first team.

Likely to happen?

PSG have had to be a bit more careful with their money due to Financial Fair Play regulations, so it is hard to see them spending so much on Onyekuru when he is clearly not worth £20million.

A lot of other clubs are interested in the winger as well, so someone like Dortmund or Sevilla could easily come in to sign the young Nigerian.
