COMMENTARY
West Ham attacker Felipe Anderson had fans in awe of him earlier in the season but after watching his display against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, Hammers supporters were far from impressed. Several highlighted that the attacking midfielder’s poor performance in the 4-3 win over the Terriers in order to point out that they had started to expect such displays by the Brazilian. Anderson did struggle against Huddersfield and it was worrying to see him not able to have any form of a positive impact. The ball kept finding its way to Anderson, particularly in the first-half, but he was easily muscled off the ball or his pass didn’t end up finding the mark. The 25-year-old appeared to have settled into life in the Premier League so it is rather odd that he doesn’t seem able to cope with the physical demands of the division mere months later. Huddersfield effectively used their physical presence to render Anderson useless in the game and he had no answer. Manuel Pellegrini may have no choice but to axe the 25-year-old in the coming weeks.
