Tottenham are in the race to sign Brentford attacker Said Benrahma, according to TEAMtalk.

The football outlet claim that Spurs along with Arsenal, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have all been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old winger and haven’t been put off by the Bees’ £30million asking price.

TEAMTalk report that even thought Brentford paid less than £5m for Benrahma last summer due to believing that the winger is a real star then they’re confident of getting six times that amount if they’re to sell him.

Good move for Tottenham?

Yes, there’s a reason why so many teams are in the hunt to sign Benrahma.

The winger has been in fantastic form this season and has already been involved in 25 goals for the Bees.

Benranhma has scored 10, while assisting 14, and can play on either flank as well as a secondary striker if needed.

The attacker is clearly a player capable of making the step up to the Premier League from the Championship and he could excel under Mauricio Pochettino for many seasons to come.

This is especially likely to be case when you consider that Spurs manager could improve Benrahma even further as he has proven he can get the best out of players.

Likely to happen?

If someone matches Brentford’s £30million valuation of Benrahma then surely he’ll be on the move this summer as the Championship club couldn’t turn down that sort of money.

The 23-year-old definitely looks like a player worthy of being rated as worth that amount and with so many suitors; someone is bound to pay it.

Tottenham could do with boosting their firepower in the summer transfer window so it’s very believable they could be a contender to sign Benrahma.

Also given that £30million isn’t a crazy amount to ask for in the transfer market these days, Spurs may be actually inclined to pay that amount given the player’s talented and potential future resale value.
