OPINION

Some people think that Mauricio Pochettino might be tempted to rest some key stars on Tuesday night in the second leg of the Champions League tie against Dortmund, but not us. At 3-0, Spurs have at least one foot in the quarter-finals, but can you imagine the uproar if he fielded weakened side and went out. Complacency is the only killer for Sours now and Pochettino will fight at full strength in a bid to lift the only trophy left to him this season – and the biggest of the lot, ironically.

We do think there will be changes though – five in all – and we’re expecting Heung-min Son will get a rest. He’s played a lot of games recently and Lucas Moura is more than capable of providing the back-up for Harry Kane on Tuesday. In midfield, we’re expecting Harry Winks to play after flying out with the squad to Dortmund. Mauricio Pochettino was said to be sweating on his fitness but it looks like he’s going to make it. He should replace Victor Wanyama, who was terrible against Arsenal.

Two other players should be dropped too – Kieran Trippier and Davinson Sanchez. Both were poor against Arsenal and should be benched for Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth. Ben Davies should come back in on the left for Danny Rose, with Pochettino playing a back five with his 3-0 lead.

This is the starting XI we expect Pochettino to put out against Dortmund on Tuesday – and we think it has more than enough to get the job done:
