Liam Rosenior believes Tottenham players Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Heung-min Son are all individually worth between £150million and £200million.

The Sky Sports pundit shared that the Spurs quartet would cost that much in the current transfer market when responding to the idea that Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho was worth £100million.

Rosenior shared that he thought for Spurs to be able to go to the next level then they were going to have spend but seemed to throw doubt on their ability due to the prices of players currently.

“To go to the next level you’re going to have to spend, we’re talking about Sancho being £100million,” said Rosenior on Sky Sports’ The Debate (Tuesday March 5th, 22:12).

“What value is Harry Kane? Dele Alli? Eriksen? Son? They’re in the £150million-£200million bracket right now in this transfer market.”

OPINION

Spurs are into the quarter finals of the Champions League and mathematically still have a chance of winning the Premier League title. While they have achieved both these feats without buying a single player in the last two transfer windows, it seems everyone is still convinced they need to spend to progress. It’s easy to understand that view point but perhaps less people will say that if Spurs defy the odds and lift the Champions League trophy. As it stands Spurs don’t seem like they have the financial power to sign the type of players that improve their squad, so why should they recruit ones for the sake of it? It’s true that the current squad can be improved by new recruits but if Spurs don’t have the cash then it’s an impossible task. Mauricio Pochettino has shown that Spurs are still able to progress towards reaching the next level without splashing the cash and fans should just cling to that belief that he can defy the odds.
