BBC pundit Chris Sutton has said that Tottenham fans should be seriously concerned by the comments of manager Mauricio Pochettino after his side lost to Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against the Saints to further slip back in the battle for a top four finish, Arsenal’s win over Manchester United leaving the two north London outfits separated by a single point.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino accused his players of “complacency (and) arrogance in a bad way,” Sutton insisting that the Argentine’s comments should strike fear into the hearts of the Spurs faithful.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club (11/03): “Are they the most vulnerable? No. Would I be worried if I was a Spurs fan to hear Pochettino and speak in the manner he has done? Absolutely.
“I don’t think they are the most vulnerable. I think Spurs will react because they have too many good players not to react. I think they’ll get it together but I’d be concerned over what Pochettino said.”
