Tottenham are set to sell Serge Aurier at the end of the season, according to Football London.

The Reach site claim the north Londoners are likely to cash in on the 26-year-old, who was signed from Paris Saint-Germain for £23million in the summer of 2017.

Football London report Mauricio Pochettino has a “big call to make” on the future of the Ivory Coast international and is expected to give the green light for him to move if a “decent bid” comes in.

OPINION

If Spurs receive a bid that is similar to the £23million they forked out on Aurier two summers ago, they should snap the hand off the buying club and drive him to the airport. Aurier is too erratic, too unmanageable and too untrustworthy to be playing regularly for a side challenging for major honours. There has been the perfect opportunity for the former PSG man to nail down the right-back spot this season, with Kieran Trippier a shadow of the player who was one of the outstanding players in the position in the Premier League in 2017-18 before his World Cup heroics. Aurier’s contribution has also been fitful and it’s clear Pochettino doesn’t trust him enough to use him regularly, particularly in major domestic matches. The best right-back at the club is probably – bar the brilliant Toby Alderweireld – academy product Kyle Walker-Peters, but Pochettino doesn’t appear to think his time is now.
