Everton manager Marco Silva is plotting a move to be reunited with Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen after his impressive season in the Championship, according to the Mail.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Toffees are joined by current second tier leaders Norwich City in chasing the winger after seeing him score 18 goals in 37 appearances this season, with Silva having already worked with him.

The 22-year-old appeared three times under the current boss at Goodison Park when he was in charge of the Tigers and could have been playing in the Premier League already, turning down a reported £12million move to Cardiff City in the wake of the Emiliano Sala tragedy.

Good move for Everton?

The fact that it was Silva who handed the young star his first league start cannot be underestimated, with the Everton boss clearly believing he had a future talent on his hands during his time with Hull.

He was obviously not wrong as the 22-year-old goes from strength to strength, emerging as one of the top performers in the Championship this season.

His goal record for a winger is outstanding and considering a lack of firepower up front, the Toffees could do with someone in his kind of form.

With a number of wingers already at the club there would be fierce competition for a first team role but if he could replicate what he has in the second tier in the top flight then he would be almost guaranteed a starting spot.

Likely to happen?

As stated, the previous relationship between Silva and Bowen could play a big part in where the winger ends up next and the manager has got to play on that personal touch to get him to Goodison.

He definitely seems to be on his way sooner rather than later and it all depends on who gets involved in a bidding war for his services.

You would expect Everton to blow Norwich away if it was just the pair of them but you suspect more parties will register their interest after his phenomenal goal scoring record.
