Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is certain to leave leave Tottenham at the end of the season, according to Alasdair Gold.

The Spurs correspondent of Reach site Football London claimed in a Q&A on the site on Monday (3.49pm) that the club have been trying to offload the 24-year-old wide man for 18 months and “he’ll be off” for good in the summer.

Gold explained Spurs will hope NKoudou recovers from a hamstring injury to get a run of games at loan club Monaco as “he’s in the shop window over there”.

OPINION

Tottenham haven’t had much luck getting rid of NKoudou in recent years, with the usual overinflated Daniel Levy price tags failing to seduce clubs. Who can blame them? NKoudou has done nothing in a Spurs shirt, or on loan at Monaco or Burnley last season, to suggest he can live up to the promise that he showed at Marseille three seasons ago and persuaded the north Londoners to shell out a £10million fee. Back in Ligue 1 since January, the former France Under-21 international has made just three substitute appearances. NKoudou needs to find a club and manager who believe in him, and will give him the platform to use the blistering pace and skill that once lit up the south of France. Certainly, he does not have the team ethic and game understanding to thrive at an elite Premier League club. The demands are high in Mauricio Pochettino’s side and NKoudou failed to meet them.
