OPINION
Chelsea are 3-0 up at half time against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League, and it is clear that these fans are full of appreciation for Mateo Kovacic. He does not usually receive such praise from the fans after a mixed season so far, but he definitely deserved the praise that he got here. Maurizio Sarri has switched him to a more defensive role in the midfield, and based on these tweets, it is clear that tactic is working. Perhaps Kovacic will get better now he is in this role? Who knows. One thing is for sure though, he has been working hard in this first half, and that has dutifully paid off in the eyes of these Chelsea fans. It is good to see him thriving and fingers crossed that he can now maintain these standards. There is no denying the talent that he has – and he is starting to really show it.
