Richarlison may have been suffering a slump in form recently, but that by no means decreases his importance to the Everton team.
The 21-year-old ace has undergone a rapid decline recently, something which the Everton fans would have no doubt noticed. However, the significance of him to the team has not changed, and he still remains one of their best attacking players.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato have reported that AC Milan’s pursuit of the Brazilian has become complicated, as the player’s agent has informed the Serie A outfit that he will cost somewhere between £55.3 million to £59.6 million. It also states that the Toffees have no intention of letting him go.
This is news that will have many Everton fans jumping for joy. After all, he only joined in the summer, and letting him go so soon would not make any sense. He has the potential to get even better, and Everton obviously want that progress to be made at Goodison Park. The glimmers of greatness starting to rear its head and it would be a shame to miss out on that.
The young dazzler has scored 12 goals in 31 games this season, with the majority of them coming just after he arrived at the club. He has since suffered from indifferent form, but there is no denying the impact he can make.
He is vital to Everton’s success next season, and keeping him from the clutches of interested parties is really important this summer. Whatever offer may come their way, they must stand firm and not entertain it – just like they have done with AC Milan.
It is no surprise that they have been alerted to Richarlison’s rise over the course of this season, as his form has earned international call-ups for Brazil.
If there is one thing to be learned after this news though, it is that many Everton fans will be jumping for joy.
