OPINION
Manchester City midfielder David Silva certainly didn’t produce his finest performance in his team’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, although he wasn’t terrible either. It’s slightly strange to see the City fans criticise him in this way but it is true that the club legend has been on the decline this season. His form hasn’t plummeted off a cliff, but there has been a noticeable drop in the quality he’s been able to produce on a weekly basis. That appeared to be the case once again against the Cherries. He looked a little off the pace in the first half and wasn’t really able to influence the game as Pep Guardiola’s side toiled against a stubborn Bournemouth team. However, he got the assist for Riyad Mahrez’s goal after the break, showing that he still has the ability to make the difference for City. He’s not quite able to produce a full 90 minutes of excellence these days, it appears, but he does still have the quality to unlock packed defences when the mood takes him.

We probably will see Bernardo slot back in the middle now with KdB out injured, but David Silva’s form is a bit worrying imo.
