Eric Bailly had a shocker of a first-half against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, and he was largely at fault for Manchester United conceding the equaliser when Juan Bernat connected with Kylian Mbappe’s low cross. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to take some of the blame though for playing Bailly at right-back. It seemed like Ashley Young would have been the right-sided wing-back with Bailly as a right-sided centre-back in a back-three, but the Ivory Coast international was all over the place against PSG and was understandably targetted by the French giants’ attack. Some Man United fans have refused to be sympathetic towards the former Villarreal defender though. Bailly has not had the best of spells at Old Trafford and his first-half display against PSG was nowhere near good enough. Some fans want him gone in the summer, and they might have a point because this wasn’t the first poor performance by him.
