COMMENTARY
There can be little doubting that on his day Andy Robertson is one of the best players in the Liverpool starting XI but it seems as those days have been few and far between of late – his performance against Bayern Munich doing absolutely nothing to endear him to the frustrated Anfield faithful. The problem is that everyone knows what the Scottish star is capable of at both ends of the pitch and against the German giants he struggled to produce on either front. It was the 25-year-old who was beaten in the build up to Joel Matip’s own goal and the Liverpool supporters have quite rightly singled him out for heavy criticism. If this is what the Reds supporters can expect for the rest of their season then they should forget about everything that happened on Wednesday night and fear for their Premier League campaign. Huge improvements are an absolute must, for even out of form Robertson is likely to remain in the starting XI – not what Jurgen Klopp needs to be contending with.

Firmino and Fab careless in possession. Robertson and Trent shocking defensively. We’ll need a better half to go through imo.

Hendo is a big miss. Fabinho's passing hasn't been the best. Robertson is being murdered. We need a goal

Robertson has been given the run around for 135 minutes so far.
