Leeds United are ready to cash in on left-back Laurens De Bock, according to Voetbal Belgie.
The Belgian news outlet claims that Leeds want to try and recoup the £1.5million fee they paid for De Bock, 26, when they signed him from Club Brugge in January 2018.
De Bock made just seven appearances for the Yorkshire giants before he was sent out on loan to KV Oostende in the summer transfer window.
It is understood that the left-back’s current loan club is unwilling to sign him permanently.
Good move for Leeds?
If they can recoup the seven-figure fee they paid for De Bock, then it would be good business, but the Belgian’s form since signing for Leeds has been terrible, so the Yorkshire club may have to just try and cut their losses instead.
Since joining Oostende in the summer, De Bock has made just 16 appearances in all competitions and has been an unused substitute in their last four league games in Belgium’s top-flight.
Surely there is little chance that someone will pay £1.5million for the ex-Belgium Under-21 international, but if they do, that would be a better deal for Leeds than it would be for the buyers.

De Bock’s poor form means that it is going to be hard to cash in on him in the summer.
The 26-year-old will still have another three years left to run on his Leeds contract once this season ends, so it may have to be another loan spell away from Elland Road for him.
