OPINION
Ander Iturraspe has been linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer, and understandably, some of the club’s supporters are quite happy with the news. According to Spanish newspaper AS, Iturraspe, 30, is out of contract in the summer and is expected to leave Bilbao. Marcelo Bielsa managed Iturraspe during his time in the Basque region of Spain, and is reportedly interested in signing him for free this summer. Iturraspe would be a good addition for Leeds, whether they are in the Championship or the Premier League. He has been playing top-flight football throughout his career and even played in the Europa League final in 2012 when Bielsa was in charge. It makes perfect sense for the Whites to sign the two-times Spain international. He knows Bielsa’s system, he’s played well in Bielsa’s system and he would add a good layer of depth and experience to a side that might need all the experience it can get if they are promoted to the Premier League.
