OPINION
Leeds Under-23s just keep on winning. After sealing the PDL North title on Monday with a win over Colchester, they won their way into the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup with a brilliant 3-1 victory over Burnley on Friday afternoon. No recognised senior players were in the side ahead of the Championship clash against Millwall on Saturday, but the youngsters showed they didn’t need them. They withstood some heavy pressure from the hosts at the start of the second-half with the score at 1-1, but went on to knock Burnley out with two goals, one from Ryan Edmondson and the third from Hugo Diaz. And it was Edmondson who really caught the eye. He’s had a brilliant season with the Under-23s under Carlos Corberan and has made two cameo appearances for the first-team, against QPR and Birmingham. Leeds fans are expecting to see much more of the 17-year-old in the future and flocked to Twitter to herald their new hero after today’s game.
Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans:
Edmondson absolutely bullying defences by himself in this league at the moment, still not 18 for a few months. Keep working on him and Bogusz and there's two proper players there.

Ryan Edmondson never ceases to amaze me, he shows more to his game every other week. If he maintains this sort of energy level into his 20s he’s going to be immense. You get the odd defence who can contain him for periods but basically never the whole match. #lufc
