Leeds United fans should be thrilled with the club’s hunt to sign Ebere Eze after it was reported that the Yorskshire giants are interested in signing the QPR attacker.

TalkSPORT has reported on their website that Leeds have “tentative interest” in the 20-year-old, although the player is said to be happy with life at Loftus Road.

Eze would be a superb signing if director of football Victor Orta is able to prise him away from the London club in the summer.

He has burst onto the scene at QPR in the last couple of seasons, playing 38 times across all competitions this term and scoring four goals and supplying four assists in the process.

It is clear that Eze is a player with a lot of potential and one that would be a very good fit for Leeds given that he is an attacking midfielder with plenty of pace and technical ability.

However it could be a very expensive move for the Whites.

The Daily Mail reported on January 11 [02:22pm] that QPR slapped a £10million price-tag on the England Under-20 international, who has also been attracting attention from the likes of Tottenham, Bournemouth, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

Leeds are unlikely to spend that much money on one player unless they are promoted to the Premier League, but Marcelo Bielsa’s men are currently second in the Championship and stand a real chance of returning to the top-flight this season.

If the Yorkshire giants do go up then why not sign Eze?

He might be untested in the top-flight yet, but he’s only 20-years-old and has the potential to be a very exciting Premier League player if he earns enough game-time over the next couple of years.

QPR might want £10million for him now, but that transfer value could double, maybe triple, after establishing himself in the top-flight.

Leeds’ entire fanbase should be getting goosebumps over the idea of Bielsa signing such a dazzling young player in the summer.
