OPINION
It’s no real secret that Yerry Mina has underwhelmed since signing for Everton last summer. The Colombian always looks as if he is a split second away from doing something completely calamitous, and it’s little wonder that he is kept out of the side by Kurt Zouma most weeks. Against Chelsea on Sunday, however, the Toffees were not really given a choice in the matter, with the Frenchman unable to play against his parent club, and so in a was drafted in to partner Michael Keane. The South American put in a typically fraught performance, looking shaky throughout the first half, and almost exclusively passing backwards to Jordan Pickford when he did get the ball. It was not a display to fill Everton fans with confidence, and with their side struggling so badly to establish any kind of decent form, the last thing they need is a central defender who looks as if he has his boots on the wrong feet most of the time. Mina clearly has talent, but it’s hidden under so many layers of harem-scarem defending that it rarely comes to the fore. If he doesn’t sort it out soon, he could be shipped straight back out of Goodison.

I wanted Mina to be everything we wanted but at the moment he looks worse than all our other centre backs.

Why does Mina play football like his right foot is on his left leg, and his left foot in on his right leg?
Never seen a professional footballer look so uncomfortable
