Copenhagen want just £5.2million for goal machine Robert Skov this summer, and that is great news for Tottenham, who are reportedly interested in signing the winger in the next transfer window.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport has reported on their website that Spurs are among a number of clubs eyeing up Skov, 22, ahead of the summer, with the Danish midfielder in superb form for Copenhagen.

The right-sided midfielder has scored a whopping 26 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions, with 24 of his goals coming in just 26 league appearances for the Danish capital club.

It is no surprise that Tottenham are keeping an eye on him, but what is worrying is that a lot of clubs from Serie A also want to sign the winger.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Bologna, Fiorentina, Atalanta and Sampdoria are also in the race for Skov’s signature, but what is a boost for Tottenham is that the Premier League is seen as a more appealing league to join than Serie A at the moment.

What is also mouthwatering news for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is that Copenhagen want up to £5.2million for Skov, which is nothing more than a drop in the ocean for a Premier League club.

Sky Sports reported earlier in March that Spurs, Watford, Wolves and West Ham are all interested in Skov, but the North London club is the only English side mentioned in this update by Corriere dello Sport.

That could mean that Tottenham are leading the way among Premier League clubs to sign Skov, and for a player with his goalscoring record, he would be an absolutely brilliant signing in the summer – especially for as cheap as £5.2million.

Levy cannot ignore the fact that this clearly talented midfielder is available for so cheap when he can be worth at least four times that in the future if all goes well.
