OPINION
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard produced a terrific performance in the first half of his team’s clash with Everton on Sunday. The Blues started the game with plenty of possession and Hazard looked far and away their most dangerous player. He certainly seemed up for the match, that’s for sure. The Belgian international forced a tremendous save from Jordan Pickford in the Toffees’ goal early on, before going even closer when he hit the post. He’s a joy to watch when he’s in this mood and Everton really struggled to deal with him in the opening stages at Goodison Park. Hazard is one of those players who, when he’s on top of his game, is immensely difficult to stop. There’s almost nothing you can do, all you can manage is to try and limit the damage he does. Unfortunately some of his teammates weren’t in as lively a mood as he was in the first half on Sunday, but perhaps they will improve after the break and help Hazard out a bit.
