OPINION

There is absolutely no doubting that Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is the best talent outside of the Premier League at the moment.

His astonishing volley in the 4-0 rout of Derby County on Saturday reinforced just why he is going to be on several clubs’ transfer radars this summer, which is why Villa must prepare themselves for the worst – is no doubt that he is on the move soon.

One player they should take a serious look at is Brentford winger Sais Benrahma, a player who boss Dean Smith brought to the Bees when he was manager of them last season.

So far this campaign, he has scored eight goals and has been credited with 14 assists in 35 appearances, and has proved to be a real coup for Brentford ever since he was signed.

He is the perfect replacement for Grealish and Smith must plot a reunion with him in the summer to ensure that Villa do not lose out when one of the star assets departs the club.

Benrahma is more than good enough for the Premier League, but Smith must convince him to have one more season at least in the Championship, as he is just what they need.

The 23-year-old clearly has the creativity and skill to thrive in an environment like Villa Park, and he would provide the firepower that the club needs to fire them towards the promotion places at yet another attempt.

Yes, there will be many fans who will say that Grealish is a player who cannot be replaced, and while they would be right in a sense, there is no harm in signing a player who has pretty much the same attributes as him.

Many Villa fans would roar if the club signed a hot-prospect like Benrahma, so Smith must get on the phone as soon as the window opens.
