Jack Clarke returned to full training on Monday and Leeds fans are absolutely delighted. The exciting 18-year-old attacker has been missing for the last four Championship games after collapsing towards the end of the Middlesborough game at the start of February. After extensive tests, Clarke was revealed to be suffering from a virus and that meant he’s only been able to do light training away from the first-team since. That’s changed now and Clarke returned to Thorp Arch with the first-team today as they start preparing for the game against Bristol City on Saturday. There are 11 games left in the Championship and each one is crucial to Leeds now as they battle for an automatic promotion spot. We can’t see Clarke being involved in the Saturday game – that will come too soon for him – but the fact that he’s now in contention for a return to the first-team is a massive boost for Leeds.
The news that Clarke was back in training was revealed by Phil Hay on Monday morning.
