Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has already made himself a legend at Elland Road and fans continue to be bowled over by their maverick hero. His obsession with football has been long documented, with living quarters installed at Thorp Arch training ground. He watches all the Under-23s games and has shown age is no barrier to the first team with a string of brave decisions this season. And, of course, Leeds are on the brink of automatic promotion and if Bielsa gets his side back to the top-flight for the first time since 2004. Leeds are currently outside of the top two, but only by a point and there’s everything to play for with eight games left. At the very minimum, Leeds will be contesting the play-offs and no other side will want to face them over two legs. Bielsa was making more fans during the international break, when he was pictured with a young Leeds fan and a bag of bread rolls. He’s worth millions and is on a cracking wage at Elland Road but you’d never know it from how he conducts himself. And the Leeds fans absolutely love him for it.
