Shane Duffy has aimed a dig at Rangers when asked if he prefers them or Celtic.

The Brighton defender was doing a Q&A via his personal Instagram account on Monday night when he asked to choose between the two Old Firm rivals.

And the Republic of Ireland international took it as an opportunity to troll the Ibrox side by asking “who’s Rangers?”.

Duffy also admitted that he would like to play for Celtic one day in the future.

OPINION

It seems as though a lot of players south of the border have a preference on who they would like to play for out of Rangers or Celtic, and given the position of the two clubs right now, those would want to join the Hoops one day in the future are more likely to come out and talk about it than anyone else. Duffy is a good defender. The £40,000-a-week (Spotrac) centre-back was born in Derry but opted to play for the Republic of Ireland, despite using the Northern Irish youth system when he was younger. Given the fact he clearly loves Celtic and has it in for Rangers, there’s no doubt that the Hoops fans would welcome him with arms wide open if he ever moved to Parkhead. It could be a possibility in the summer as well. Celtic will need defenders and Brighton could be relegated from the Premier League. It would be a match made in heaven for Duffy and the Bhoys.
