Bull blown away by Jimenez

Steve Bull believes that Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has “become the whole package” after his display against Chelsea on Sunday.

The 27-year-old netted in the 1-1 draw with the Blues, and Bull has drooled over how he thinks the forward has “almost everything” while hailing his partnership with teammate Diogo Jota.

He understands why the on-loan star was doubted when he arrived at Molineux, as he did miss quite a few opportunities towards the beginning, but Bull has since been blown away by how he has adapted to playing in the Premier League.

“Jimenez had a few doubters to start with and to be fair he missed a few chances in the first half of the season. That was all that was missing from his game. His work rate is unbelievable, he’s skilful, he’s unselfish, he’s got almost everything,” he said in his Express and Star column.

“Now that he’s started scoring goals regularly, he’s become the whole package. You can see that he really believes in himself and he’s taking his chance in the Premier League. He’s adapted to the league and to Wolves’ style and you’d fancy him to bang a few more in before the end of the season – hopefully on Saturday! [against Manchester United].”

OPINION
Outside of the league’s top-six clubs, it is safe to say that Jimenez is definitely one of the best strikers. He may have had a rocky start as Bull pointed out, but he has since proved his worth to the manager and to the supporters. He has scored 14 goals in 34 games for them so far and this number only looks set to rise due to the form that the Mexican international is in. If there is one thing that Nuno Espirito Santo has learnt recently though, it is incredibly important that the club secure the services of Jimenez on a permanent deal at the end of the season. They would seriously regret it if they let him return back to Benfica this summer, so this must be their priority come the transfer window. That being said, he still has a lot more to achieve this season, and there is no doubt that he is going to continue to bang in the goals for the Premier League’s over achievers.
