COMMENTARY
Rangers drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday and Gers supporters were fuming with one player after the clash. That player unfortunately for him was defender Joe Worrall who often finds himself getting heaps of criticism for his displays. The 22-year-old looked shaky in the opening minutes of the match and a few mistakes followed. This prompted many Rangers to angrily tear him apart with one claiming he was having yet another howler against Kilmarnock as a result. While the defender clearly could have done better at a few points during the game, the level of anger directed at him was rather intense to say the least. It’s hard to envision or imagine a time where Worrall will be loved by Gers fans as right now it does seem that he is Rangers’ most likely liability in matches. Then again if he went he does play to an acceptable standard the defender is made the scapegoat among supporters at Ibrox and you can’t help but feel sorry for him as a result.
