COMMENTARY
Nottingham Forrest drew 0-0 with Preston North End on Saturday and Forest supporters found a player to furiously vent their frustration at over only getting a draw. The player in question was defender Tendayi Darikwa who seemed to have Forest fans on the edge of their seats for all the wrong reasons against Preston. One directly claimed the right-back nearly cost Martin O’Neill’s side the game while another pointed out that they thought the 27-year-old always has a mistake in him. Given that Darikwa has never really looked reliable at the back, it’s easy to see where the Forest fans below were coming from. The 27-year-old normally creates his own problems from nothing, which he did at times against Preston especially in the first-half, and it’s hard to see why O’Neill continues to trust him. Darikwa for that reason either has to significantly up his game in the coming weeks or should get used to the idea of spending his Saturday’s sat on the bench. As the last thing Forest need is to be shipping needlessly goals.

Played not bad, few half chances. Lolly and Lewis look lively. Darikwa nearly cost us. #NFFC
